Our Community and Environmental agenda focuses on Dawnfresh being a good neighbour.

For us this means becoming a better citizen of the planet, a better producer, a better farmer, offering a better place to work and doing the best we can for the consumer in delivering the highest quality at the best value.

The four principal pillars of our corporate responsibility are

  • Environment – limiting our impact in the planet.
  • Marketplace – making good food sustainably and ethically.
  • Workplace – being a great place to work.
  • Community – helping young people learn about food and the food industry

Part of the community

All of our businesses are actively involved in giving something back to the communities in which they are based.

For us, the rewards far outweigh the efforts. When we provide additional support or funding for local initiatives and charities, our communities benefit, and our staff are enriched from life skills gained during the experience.

Examples of initiatives include: working with local primary schools such as Inverbrothoch Primary teaching children about biodiversity and energy efficiency; supporting community initiatives such as exhibiting at local summer fairs; supplying sports kit for school children at local sports clubs; sponsoring local sporting and charitable events; supporting a local hospice; and company sponsorship for employees participating in events for nominated charities. We also sponsor primary school trips in rural areas where our farms are located.

Our people

Our business is all about people: our colleagues, our customers and our consumers.
